#1 Having a 'proper' job - The temp job I started in October 2018 quickly became permanent and it's made a huge difference to every element of my life.
- The regular income but is great because it's a regular income so I know my bills are paid and I have spending money.
- The contact with people - colleagues and customers - is great.
- The fact that I have less 'free' time means I have to be more choosy about how I use it so I'm actually more productive and I'm doing more interesting stuff.
#2 Getting more exercise - I work four or five days a week and I made the decision to walk to and from work, so I've suddenly started walking for 40 minutes a day on those days, it's made a huge impact on my fitness levels. I've also taken to running the Parkrun a couple of times a month.
#3 Eating more healthily - I work shifts now, so I need to think more carefully about what/when I'm eating so I've found myself planning, prepping and freezing delicious food.
So those are my reasons to be cheerful this week, what are yours?
